Boltek Media Co-Organizes “FuckUp Nights” in Lima

An Honest Conversation About Failure and Resilience

In a world that often glorifies success while overlooking the lessons learned from failure, FuckUp Nights provides a refreshing and necessary narrative. Boltek Media was proud to co-organize the first-ever Christmas Edition of FuckUp Nights in Lima, Peru, bringing together visionary entrepreneurs to share their most significant failures and the valuable insights gained from them.

“Failure is not the end; it’s a stepping stone to growth and innovation,” said Jorge Medina, Co-Organizer and Leader of Staff at Boltek Media. “FuckUp Nights creates a safe space to share, learn, and grow from these experiences.”

A Night of Authentic Conversations

The event took place on Friday, December 17th, at Av. Alfredo Benavides 1994, gathering a vibrant community of entrepreneurs, business leaders, and curious minds eager to learn from real stories of failure.

The lineup featured some of Peru’s most influential business figures, including:

  • Daniel Bonifaz – Co-Founder of Kambista
  • Rubén Sánchez – General Manager of Pastelería San Antonio
  • Juan Diego Vázquez – Founder of Barbarian
  • Alejandra Puente – Founder of Silabuz, who served as the event’s moderator.

Each speaker candidly shared their journey of setbacks, revealing how failures shaped their success stories and contributed to their resilience and growth.

Recognizing the need to cultivate this forward-thinking mindset, the Universidad de Ingeniería y Tecnología (UTEC) organized the competition “Miradas al Futuro: Ideas Innovadoras para el Mundo del Mañana” (Looking to the Future: Innovative Ideas for Tomorrow’s World). This initiative aimed to inspire and empower members of its community to propose groundbreaking ideas addressing post-pandemic societal challenges.

The Power of Sharing Failure

FuckUp Nights is a global movement that began in Mexico City in 2012, dedicated to sharing stories of professional failure to foster honesty, resilience, and innovation. It challenges the cultural stigma around failure by creating transparent conversations that inspire audiences to learn from mistakes and embrace risk-taking.

The Christmas Edition in Lima aimed to break down barriers and create a supportive community that celebrates both successes and failures. It encouraged attendees to reframe failure as a valuable learning experience, reducing the fear of failure and promoting healthier work environments.

A Successful Collaboration and Impact

Organized by Kristopher Panana, with Jorge Medina leading the staff coordination and Renzo Trujillo managing marketing efforts, the event successfully brought together a diverse audience and fostered meaningful conversations.

The evening was filled with honest dialogues, laughter, and moments of reflection, proving once again that failure is not just a part of success—it’s a crucial ingredient.

“At Boltek Media, we believe in the power of storytelling and learning from real experiences,” concluded Jorge. “We’re proud to be a part of this movement that empowers people to grow beyond their failures.”

FuckUp Nights continues to inspire and empower communities worldwide. If you missed this edition, stay tuned for future events and become part of a movement that celebrates failure as a stepping stone to success.
